【FAQ】Quartus Lite v23.1 Questa仿真提示Unable to checkout a license
本帖最后由 BOB_Sun 于 2024-3-12 16:19 编辑Q：我在用Quartus Lite v23.1的Questa*-Intel® FPGA and Starter Editions（低版本名称是ModelSim）仿真，仿真路径和test bench设置完成后，点击Tools---Run Simulation Tool---RTL Simulation时报错提示Unable to checkout a license，需要检查license的环境变量设置。lite版Quartus和Questa都是免费版的，应该不需要license的，请问这如何解决呢？
A：Questa需要申请免费的license，在Intel® FPGA Self-Service Licensing Center，登录账号后申请：
点选Questa*-Intel® FPGA Starter Edition (License: SW-QUESTA)，点击Next。
在新窗口里点击+New Computer。
弹出Create Computer窗口。
Computer Name填写PC的名称，可以打开PC的命令提示符窗口，看到PC的名称。
License Type选择FIXED；Computer Type选择NIC ID；Primary Computer ID即PC的MAC地址，可以在PC的命令提示符窗口运行ipconfig/all看MAC地址。MAC地址填进去的时候去掉中划线。然后点击Save。
选择以上创建好的Computer，点选I have read and agree to the terms of use of this license as listed below，然后点击Generate即可成功申请到license，license会发送到你的Intel的注册账号邮箱。
将license保存到PC本地，接下来设置license环境变量，在PC的环境变量设置界面新建变量，变量名LM_LICENSE_FILE，变量值通过点击浏览文件，选择保存的license即可。
重新运行Quartus打开工程，点击Tools---Run Simulation Tool---RTL Simulation即可成功仿真。
